SC stops Comelec in junking ABC partylist

THE High Court Tribunal on Thursday restrained the Commission on Elections (Comelec) from its ruling junking a partylist group which was complained to be linked with religious group “Ang Dating Daan.”

In a three page Resolution of the SC en banc, it issued a Status Quo Order against the Comelec en banc, headed by Chairman Sixto Brillantes, from invalidating the registration of Alliance of Barangay Concerns (ABC) Partylist for the 2013 national polls.
